Evening Walk - Farleton Knott
Krysia, Clare & Mick Fox, Roger Atkinmson, Val Calder, David Birkett, Hugh Taylor

The walk was re-arranged from the 'appetizer enhancer' walk that was cancelled due to bad weather. Led by Krysia, the walk started from the Auction Mart and led along the canal and up to the ever enjoyable superb summit of Farleton Knott. The return was made via Puddlemire Lane and Aikbank, and the evening rounded off with a pint of OSB Detention in the Crookland Arms. Thank you Krysia.

Thanks to Norman Bell for this one: a skylarks nest with one egg in from Lingy Crags near Angle Tarn, above Hartsop.

Mid-week Walk - Barbon Fell
Graham & Irene Ramsbottom, Clare & Mick Fox, Margaret & Roger Atkinmson, Val Calder, David Birkett, Jan & Collette Lancaster, Frank Haygarth, Hugh Taylor, Norman Bell, Les Ord, Josh, Tom, and Sam Atkinson

Leaders Graham and Irene led the excellent turn out of members and guests out of Barbon and up the start of the famour Barbon Hill Climb route. Branching off into the woods the party soon crossed Barbon Beck and into Barbondale for elevenses. Then up the Aygill Beck track to Bullpot Farm, where some members regaled anybody who would listen to tales of trips underground.
Lunch was taken on the southern slopes of Barbon Fell before a fine view was had from the massive cairn of Brownthwaite Pike. Then down onto the Fellfoot Road where some of Andy Goldsworthy's sheep folds were admired by most members. Then back to Barbon via a field of cows and a massive bull.
Tea and cakes were taken in the excellent tea room cum shop, and thanks to Irene and Graham for another excellent walk.
